When packing for your Hair Aid project, aim to keep your personal items under 10 kilograms. The majority of your luggage space will be used to carry Hair Aid resources, so pack light and smart!
🧳 Clothing Essentials
Bring casual, comfortable clothing suitable for working in warm conditions and respectful of the local culture. Here’s what we suggest:

✂️ Tools to Bring for Training
Hair Aid projects relies on donated tools and we have enough for the project but we also ask every volunteer to help collect supplies before departure:

Second-hand scissors: Ask your hairdressing friends or salon contacts for any old scissors they can donate. These will be sharpened and used for training on-site.

Hairdressing capes: We encourage each volunteer to bring 10 old capes—ask around your network!

Dolly heads: These are incredibly useful, even if they have very little hair left.

Spray bottles, clips, and combs: Any unused or old ones from your salon are perfect.
🎒 Extra Items to Pack
You’ll be spending time around local children, and bringing a few small gifts can help spread joy:
