Indonesia September 2019

The Hair Aid 2018 Indonesian Project has attracted much interest! So much so, that if you are keen to come along, I’ll need you to register and pay your deposit to secure your spot as soon as possible.

 

At the end of this email is a registration link – but before you fill it in, here’s some details about the project!

 

Dates: Project runs from 2nd – 6th  September 2019. You will need to be in Indonesia by Sunday 1st  September 2018, for team training and cultural inductions. You can leave Friday after 7pm 6th  September 2018. Flights can be extended if you want to stay longer, or you can fly in a few days earlier.

 

Where: Training locations will be in and around Bali, Indonesia, within an approximate taxi drive of 30 mins each way of our accommodation.

 

Who: Volunteer hairdressers and beauticians, teaching women in critical poverty how to cut hair and do manicure/pedicures. All volunteers are housed in the same accommodation.  Volunteers will be in teams of 2-4 and will travel to locations daily as a group. 

 

Costs: $AUD2,500 

 

Payment timeline:

  • $AUD500 non refundable deposit due 30th May 2019
  • $AUD1500 required 30th June 2018
  • $AUD500 required 30th July 2018

**Note** you can pay your final payment prior to 30th June if you want this for your 2019 tax return.

 

Fundraising: Hair Aid Inc. is a registered charity with tax deductible status. Fundraising activities can be conducted to raise the costs of the project. Hair Aid can help you with this.

 

What is included: Return flights from your home town to the value of $AUD1,200pp, accommodation, resource purchases, ground transport, project insurance, team tshirts & cap/hat, administration and logistics costs (project facilitation and management, graduation certificates, location costs, etc).

 

What is not covered: Personal medical insurance (must have), food, drink/s, personal items, travel to/from airports at home town.
