Hands Behind the Hair

Every six weeks, hairdressers across Australia close their appointment books for a few hours and choose to give something back.

They volunteer their time through Hair Aid Community Cuts, providing free haircuts to people experiencing homelessness, financial hardship, domestic violence, disability, mental health challenges and social isolation. It's an extraordinary act of kindness that restores confidence, dignity and hope.

If you're one of those volunteers, this letter is for you.

Quite simply… thank you.

Thank you for giving your time so generously. Thank you for caring about your community. Thank you for showing that hairdressers don't just change hairstyles, they change lives.

To thank you, we're bringing a Hair Aid Thank you event to Parramatta – just for you.

This special afternoon has been created as our gift to you. There is absolutely no cost to attend. We'd love you to join us for a free lunch, a free goodie bag, inspiring conversations and an afternoon celebrating the incredible people who make our profession so special.

I'll be travelling from Queensland to spend the day with you, together with our National Hair Aid Community Cuts Coordinator, Krystal White. We're also excited to welcome Abbey Filko, one of Australia's leading AI educators, who'll share practical ways to use AI to save time, create great content and strengthen your salon business.
